MURIEL FRANCES CROWFOOT passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2009 in Lethbridge, AB at the age of 75 years old. Muriel was born on the Key Reserve near Norquay, Saskatchewan on November 12, 1933 to Thomas O'Soup and Bertha Beatrice (Field) O'Soup. Muriel was one of 13 children and is survived by one sister, Geraldine Wardman, Edmonton, AB. Muriel is survived by her former husband Cecil John Crowfoot from Siksika Nation and nine of her ten children: Amelia Clark of Strathmore, AB, Fritzi (Walter) Woods of Strathmore, AB, Bert (Lydia) Crowfoot of Edmonton, AB, Strater (Ellen) Crowfoot of DeWinton, AB, Deanna Crowfoot of Strathmore, AB, Deb (Lorraine) Crowfoot of Edmonton, AB, Carrie Whitehead (Deceased); Troy Crowfoot of Alpine, Utah, Becky (Lawrence) Baer of Lethbridge, AB, Thomas Crowfoot of Edmonton, AB; adopted daughter and niece Joy Kennedy of Yorkton, SK; 41 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was a strong woman of faith who instilled in her children a good work ethic and belief in God. She was also a strong believer in Education and encouraged her children and grandchildren to pursue Higher Education. Family and friends are invited to a viewing between 6:00pm and 11:00pm on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the LDS Chapel, 60 Maple Drive Strathmore, AB. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 1, 2009 at the LDS Chapel, 60 Maple Drive, Strathmore, AB with Ouray Clark, conducting. Interment to follow in the Canon Stockton Cemetery, Siksika, Alberta.
