MAURINE WILLIAMS of Claresholm, Alberta, beloved wife of the late Wesley Williams, passed away surrounded by her family at the Willow Creek continuing care on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the age of 92 years. Maurine was born to Julia Naomi Johnson and Elisha Vernal Day on July 28, 1915 in Barnwell, Alberta the fifth of 6 children. Wes and Maurine were married for 58 years and were blessed with a family of six: Marlene (Roy) Tuft of Las Vegas, Larry (Cecilia) Williams of West Bank, B.C. , Larraine (Gordon) Featherstone of Fort MacLeod, Sharon (Monty) Anderson of Claresholm, Ross (Alice) Williams and Jean (Arnie) Ferguson of Lethbridge. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Maurine was predeceased by one granddaughter and one great-grandson. Maurine and Wes lived in many communities in southern Alberta and B.C. throughout their married life. Maurine moved to Claresholm after the death of Wes. She was active in her church, serving in different positions. The love of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Claresholm, 4924 3 Street East with Bishop Mark Stubbs officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. In honor of Maurine's memory memorial contributions may be made to Willow Creek Continuing Care, (North Unit) box 700, Claresholm, T0L 0T0.
