Mary Blumell

MARY MARGARET BLUMELL, beloved wife of the late James Elton Blumell, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the age of 87 years. She was born in Magrath, AB on May 30, 1922. Mary Margaret was the eldest of 7 children born to Elmer and Margaret Ririe. She attended school in Magrath and received her teaching certificate at Normal School in Calgary. Mary Margaret is survived by 5 children: Marina Dunn of Orem, Utah; Anne Wolsey of Orem, Utah; David (Merle) of Rosemary, AB; Sharon (Brian) Stallard of Provo, Utah; and James (Dale) of Magrath, AB. Mary leaves behind 27 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers: Ruth (Wes) Rice of Magrath, AB; Joan (Tom) Karren of Magrath, AB; Jackie (Alan) West of Taber, AB; Norma (Don) Woolley of Utah; Watson (Barbara) Ririe of Magrath, and Jim (Toni) Ririe of Utah. Besides her husband, Mary is predeceased by her parents Elmer and Margaret Ririe. Mary Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Magrath Stake Centre, Magrath, AB, with Bishop Dan Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family at the Magrath Stake Centre on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday, January 7 prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery.
