After school she moved to Regina where she attended dressmaking school, and then worked in a fur coat making shop. In 1950 she married Bing (Donald) Miller and moved back to Fleming. While living there, their family grew to include their son Bob. In 1956, the family moved to Vauxhall, AB where they purchased a partnership in a grocery store. Their family grew to include their daughter Gail. The Vauxhall Trading Co. grew as well to include a clothing store. Bing passed away in 1970, after which Marion continued to run the clothing store. In 1976 Marion married Herb Ellerman and moved to Lethbridge. She discovered new joys, including his three children: Susan, Gerry, and Joanne. They shared many wonderful years together until Herb's passing in 2007. Marion was devoted throughout her life to her church, and over the years served in various church groups. She was an avid golfer and curler for many years. Herb introduced her to flying and they shared many adventurous flights. They also loved to travel. Marion loved to stay busy, and was always on the go. She was an incredible daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who was selfless in caring for those who needed her.
