Mabel Garner

GARNER MABEL ANN (YOUNG) GARNER passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 with her daughters by her side at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her daughters: Gerrie (Pat) Layton, Kathy (Randy) Dodd; grandchildren: Michael (Heather) Layton, Kevin (Jessica) Dodd, Jeff (Stephanie) Dodd and Scott Barnouw (Kris), and sister Lois Wynder, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also fondly remembered by great grandchildren Graham and Allison Barnouw, Connor and Adam Layton and Kaylynn Dodd. Mabel was predeceased by her loving husband Elmer and granddaughter Kristine Layton Barnouw as well as parents George and Eva, brothers Raymond and Dale Young and in-laws Herbert and Ruby Garner. A celebration of her life will be held at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. The family wish to express their gratitude to the outstanding staff of Fairmont Extendicare for their compassionate care and consideration given to Mabel and her family.
