
LUCY OLER DUNCOMBE, beloved wife of Walter Duncombe of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the age of 84 years. She is the loving mother of: Ron (Lynda) Duncombe of Edmonton, Robert Duncombe of Lethbridge, Dale (Mary) Duncombe of Lethbridge, Vicki (Richard) Shears of Lethbridge, and Mark (Rhonda) Duncombe of Grand Junction, Colorado. Lucy leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister, Louie Allred, sister Vida Oler, both of Raymond, and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Oler. From Walter's family, Lucy is survived by Laurie Duncombe, Ilene Atwood, Bill and Jean Nemeth, Joyce Thomson, and Doug Duncombe. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Lucy was predeceased by her parents, Mark and Jessie Oler, sisters, June, Bert, and brothers, Harold and Bud. Lucy was born in Shelley, Idaho and moved to Stirling at a very young age. She attended school in Stirling and enjoyed many school and church activities, especially dances. Lucy met her eternal partner, Walter Duncombe, and married October 31, 1942. They were sealed for time and eternity at Cardston Temple in November of 1942. Walter and Lucy lived in Raymond, and then Taber for many years before moving back to Raymond. She held many positions in the LDS church to which she dedicated her time and heart. She dearly loved her five children and her life was spent teaching and loving them. Lucy was an awesome wife and mom and will be sadly missed by all who loved her. We love you, Mom - till we meet again. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond with Bishop Ron Murphy officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the Graveside Service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge.
