Linea Earl

LINEA L EARL, eternal wife of the late Hugh J Earl, born in Cardston, Alberta on September 23, 1922, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the age of 86 years after a courageous battle with cancer. To love and cherish her memory are her children: Stella (Dave), LaRon (Reta), Terry (Wendy) and Kaylene (Murray); 14 grandchildren; her "Grandma Great" children and numerous nieces and nephews. Linea was predeceased by her husband Hugh, her daughter Newana, grandsons Bradley and Kenny, great granddaughter Kanani, parents Elmer and Queena Marsden, and her brother LaVonte Marsden. Along with being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Linea spent her years giving to others by using her talents in quilting, sewing, and knitting, along with her sense of humor. Jigsaw puzzles were always on the table on Boxing Day and over the years, the collection grew. Her love for music would often find her at her piano playing her favorite hymns in the evenings, and the summers would entice Linea and Hugh to go camping, where over the years many cherished friendships were created. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Northside Chapel, 2223-6 A. Avenue North, Lethbridge, with Bishop Richard Martinell officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. Interment to follow in the Archmount Cemetery.
