Send flowers

Linda Mae Burr passed away at 8:15 am in the St Michael’s palliative care unit on July 1, 2026 at the age of 80 years. After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on May 11. Linda’s fight to live was filled with increasing pain each day.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry of Lethbridge, daughters Marcie Mae (Jack) Pederson, Jaycee Joy(Brad) Weibe, son Devin, grandchildren Jordann Mae Wiebe, Cody Allen Wiebe, greatgrandchild Faedra Mae. She was predeceased by mother Eunice Marie (Mae) and father Roy Rudolph Spencer.

Linda was born in Lethbridge, attended Westminister and Alan Watson elementary grade schools, Hamilton Junior High, Lethbridge Collegiate Institute.

Linda married Larry on May 19, 1962 and lived on the family farm for 38 years. Larry’s hip problems forced the sale of the farm and they moved to Sierras Condo for three years. But they needed a place with a garden and more privacy. She worked for the county of Lethbridge as librarian for Coalhurst Elementary. Sang with Sweet Adelines chorus for 29 years. Served on many boards and groups that she thought she could help.

Linda had a brain aneurysm December 2022 and was in hospitals for 3 months. She had to retrain the brain to be able to walk. Being admitted PARP was just what was needed and she final came home to normal life.

The world has lost a beautiful, selfless person who cared more for others than herself. We will miss her everyday for the rest of our lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the McNally Community Center, 210075 Township Rd 82, Lethbridge, AB at 1:00pm.
