Lila Hirsche

LILA MARIE HIRSCHE (SELK), born March 2, 1930, to Mildred and Bus Selk, passed away on Thursday March 25, 2010 at AdaptaCare in Lethbridge. She was the beloved wife of the late Dewaine Hirsche. She married Dewaine, June 27, 1951, and together they raised their four boys in Wrentham, Calgary and Lethbridge. She was an active member of the LDS church, serving in various callings and enjoyed doing her family history. She is survived by her sons: Gordon (Betty), Shane (Lora), Brent (Bonnie), Tim (Sharla); 8 grandchildren: Stacey, Alanna (Brendan), Angie, Rachelle (Darren), Jared (Danielle), Jeff (Kalee), Brailey, Brock, and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Helen (Gerry-deceased), Viola and Elaine (Reed) and many brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and brothers Owen, Roy, Melvin, infants Gordon and Frank. Friends may meet the family on Tuesday evening, March 30 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, or prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge Northside Chapel, 2223-6 A. Avenue North, Lethbridge, with Bishop Richard Martinell officiating. Interment to follow in the Stirling Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wrentham Public Library, Wrentham, AB T0K 2P0.
