Leslie Bodie

LESLIE BODIE May 1, 1924 to November 21, 2012 Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his sister, Ann (Zoltan) Sera, niece Wendy Sera and her daughter Cheryl (Devon) Lyons and their sons Christian, Brennen and new baby Cole; nephew Rick (Barb) Sera and their children Catherine and Danielle Sera, and Denise and David Brousseau; brother-in-law Fred McIntosh and nieces Sandra and Susan and their children and grandchildren; Leslie's special friend June (his best girl) who brought him home to us. We are forever grateful to her. Leslie grew up in Lethbridge and after a short stint in the Canadian Air Force, he worked in Vancouver and several cities in the U.S. settling in Las Vegas. He was a quiet, gentle man who was a trusted employee of the Desert Inn for 30 years. He loved to travel and enjoyed taking many cruises. He made many trips to Lethbridge and Vancouver to visit his sisters. Leslie died like he lived, quietly with his family by his side. No funeral by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation.
