LEONARD J ISAACSON passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Lethbridge, Alberta. He was born May 6, 1917, the son of William and Hazel Rice Isaacson. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Wanda, his parents, a brother Ralph and a sister Jayne Hall. He is survived by his son Kent (Heather), and his daughter Lenda (Dave) Heaston, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother Glen, two sisters, Hazel Dudley and Arlene Sabey, and numerous extended family members. He grew up on a farm west of Champion and later went to Lethbridge where he married Wanda Jensen. They were faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He joined the RCAF and served overseas during the war. When he returned, he worked for Sturdie Oil and World Book Encyclopedia. Wanda passed away in February 1995. Leonard lived in his own home until the fall of 2006 when he moved to the Pemmican Lodge. Leonard will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and many good friends. Friends may meet the family prior to the service on Thursday at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge Stake Centre, 2410-28 Street South, with Bishop Steve Kutanzi officiating. Interment in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
