Lawnee Wilde

LAWNEE LaRENE STEED WILDE, beloved wife of T. Jesse Wilde of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the age of 48 years. She is the loving mother of: Natalie (David) Lowry, Chelsie (Bradley) Lindsay, Stephanie (Jacob) Bengtson, Brock (Amy), and Lacey, all of Lethbridge. She is survived by seven grandchildren: Ryder Lowry, Olivia Lindsay, Katelyn Lowry, Brigette Lindsay, Reese Lowry, Bailey Bengtson, and Cooper Lindsay. Lawnee was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family, and, most particularly, her grandchildren. She so enjoyed the time she spent with her siblings and her mother, and dearly missed her father who passed away some 20 years earlier. Some of her fondest memories through the years revolve around family functions, including Steed reunions and Wilde gatherings. She also loved traveling, and cherished time spent with her family and friends in various destinations including Waterton, Montana, Hawaii, Arizona and Israel. Although not an avid sports fan, she loved watching her husband and children participate in various sporting activities, and even became a Maple Leaf and Yankee supporter, if only to demonstrate her devotion to her husband. She loved the Lord and served Him to the end. Her life of obedience, service and sacrifice was a living testimony conveyed to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Even though challenged by health difficulties for much of the past two decades, she carried herself with grace, beauty and courage that often concealed her own suffering. Her selfless concern for others, her eternal optimism, and her unwavering faith amidst adversity, will be an enduring legacy for all who knew and loved her. Friends may meet the family on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lethbridge Stake Centre and prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge Stake Centre, 2410-28 Street South, Lethbridge. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
