Stewart, Laurena May Beloved wife of Alex Leslie Stewart passed away on May 9, 2011 at the age of 74. Mom was born in Kincardine, Ontario on February 27, 1937 to Catherine (Katie) and Smith Lowry. Devastated by their loss is her husband Alex, daughters Melanee (Lloyd), Laurena (Michael), Katherine (Danny), Leslie (Elmer), Cynthia (Mark). Grandchildren - Shane (Ellen), Christopher (Monica), Shawn (Karen), Kameron, Alexander, Nicholas, Katie, Eliza (Corey), Amelia, Stephanie, Scott, Alana, Stewart and Jessica. Great grandchildren - Jesse, Joshua, Simon, Spencer, Thalia, Laila, Maria, Tyler and Quinten. Siblings - Murray, Marion, and Kenneth (Donna). She is pre deceased by her parents Catherine and Smith Lowry, siblings Shirley and Jack and granddaughter Lisa. Mom and Dad were married April 9th, 1955 in Kincardine, Ontario. The family moved in 1968 to Orangeville, Ontario when Dad got transferred with Ontario Hydro. Mom worked various jobs including the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and operated the Company's Coming Gift Store in Orangeville, Ontario. In 2002, Mom and Dad relocated to Lethbridge, Alberta to live near daughter Katherine and family. Mom also worked at Cleos Ladies Wear in the Park Place Mall in Lethbridge until her health deteriorated. Mom was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) on February 14, 2011. Mom requested no funeral service; cremation to follow. Mom's ashes will be placed at a later date in Kincardine, Ontario. We would like to thank Mom's guardian angels for taking such good care of our Mother, Jan Zoeteman from the ALS Society, Ashley Thompson from Lethbridge Family Services Homecare, Chinook Regional Hospital 5th Floor GARU and St. Michaels Health Center Palliative Care Unit. We miss and love you with all our hearts Mom. Sleep now Sweet Angel, the pain has finally stopped.
