In Loving Memory of Lanny James Law.

Lanny James Law, formerly of Cherry Grove and most recently of Raymond, Alberta, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at the age of 78.

Lanny was a kind and gentle soul whose love was expressed in quiet, meaningful ways—through his steady presence, his capable hands, and his open heart. A carpenter by trade and a child at heart, he met the world with tenderness and sincerity. In his younger years, Lanny was a man of many words; later in life, even as his words became few, his deep love and affection remained ever-present. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lanny was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. His faith shaped every aspect of his life, guiding his actions and inspiring his love for family, service, and the Savior. He lived with humility, integrity, and unwavering devotion to the gospel.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Adele; his daughters Andrea, Natalie (Jeffrey) Ball, and Heather (Richard) Squire; his grandchildren Hailee (Simon), Elayna, Alyssa, Brynlee, Austin, Kelly (Ethan), Avery (Paige), Lauren, Nathan (Keira), Jonah, Noah, Cameron, Ryley, Emylee, and Brielle; his great-grandchildren Bennett and Boden; his sisters Lila and Della, numerous nieces and nephews; and many others who were touched by his quiet strength and gentle spirit.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Evelyn, and his siblings Ernest, Regina, Gerald, Kent, Ardell, and Ben.

A service to celebrate Lanny’s life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Knight Street Chapel in Raymond, Alberta. A meet-the-family gathering will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend and share in remembering and honoring his life.
