
LAVEDA BETTY HAGUE, beloved wife of the late Albert (Ab) Hague, passed away peacefully at her home in Lethbridge, Alberta on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the age of 91. She is survived by her two children: Hugh (Donna) Hague of Calgary and Bonnie (Joe) Nemeth of Lethbridge. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. One daughter, Pauline, predeceased her at the age of 2 when their house burned down in Raymond. Ab and LaVeda both worked very hard to rebuild their home. LaVeda was the 5th child (youngest daughter) of 7 children of Hugh and Emily (Nelson) Stewart of Kimball, Alberta. Her only surviving sibling is Ken (Curly)(Bev) Stewart of Lethbridge. The other predeceased siblings were: Sam (Margaret) Stewart, Burt (Lena) Stewart, Elda (Harry) Powell, Dorothy (George) Kerr, Roland (Duffy) (Elva) Stewart. LaVeda was born September 19, 1915 on the Stewart farm in Kimball, Alberta. She was raised and went to school in Kimball, Alberta, usually traveling by horseback. LaVeda always loved the beauty of horses. As a teenager, she attended high school in Raymond. A few years later she met her husband to be, Albert Edward Hague, at a town dance in Raymond. They were married in 1935 in Lethbridge, Alberta. LaVeda was a co-owner of King-Hague Poultry Products, a business in Raymond, for 8 years during the 1950's. She worked for many years in several ladies wear stores in Lethbridge. She and her husband moved to Lethbridge in 1964 where they built a new home in which they resided until their passing. She loved keeping her home and garden like a picture book. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and making many craft items. She loved her roses and working in her flower garden. Funeral Services will be held in THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge Stake Centre, 2410-28 Street South, Lethbridge on Thursday, February 15th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., with Bishop Mark Hasegawa officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
