Kiyoka Tokunaga

KIYOKA TOKUNAGA, beloved wife of the late Moriguma of Lethbridge, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the age of 89 years. She is the loving mother of: Akio (Lynn) Tokunaga of Edmonton, Anne (Neal) Kain of Calgary, Rick (Elvina) Tokunaga of Vulcan, and Marion (Murray) Wiens of Coaldale. Kiyoka is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is predeceased by an infant son, Wayne Hideo. Kiyoka was born in Whonnock, BC. She married Moriguma on November 10, 1948. They settled in the Picture Butte area where they farmed. Besides love for her family, she had a great passion for crafting and fishing. At her request, a private family service will be held. In lieu of koden, memorial donations may be made to the Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta, 470-40 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 3Z5.
