VOLD KENNETH F VOLD, beloved husband of Carol Vold of Coalhurst, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, August 5, 2011. He is the loving father of Joanne Komanac of Lethbridge as well as grandfather to: Troy Vold, Lesley-Ann Komanac, Patrick Vold, and Lisa Vold, all of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his siblings: Judy Green of Stirling, Stephen (LaVerne) Vold of Lethbridge, Valerie (Maurice) Duncan, and Mark (Collette) Vold. Ken is predeceased by his son Ron Vold, and his parents: Kenneth Vold and Junietta Finch. Ken passed away after a lengthy illness after beating cancer, only to be overwhelmed in his final passage. He was comforted with his loving wife by his side, to be joined by his daughter. Ken was raised in Raymond, with his loving parents, brothers, and sisters. He was always the savior of his siblings, until he was called home. Ken served in the Canadian Armed Forces; he was a mechanic at Nick's Husky for 10 years, and also Manager of the Warner, AB Mustard Seed Plant. Special thanks to the Nursing Staff on 4C of the Chinook Regional Hospital, Doctors: Cal Stewart, Wilde, Burton, Cahill, Orr, Holland, Oviatt, and Shukker. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never, Get well on this earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelid, And whispered, "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.
