Katsumi Mori

MR. KATSUMI "KAY" MORI, age 82, passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Health Centre on Friday, April 2, 2010. Katsumi was born in Newton, B.C. to Shinkichi and Suna Mori on March 2, 1928. He worked on the family farm and, after he graduated high school in Taber, he traveled and worked in a variety of locations across Canada. In his later years, Katsumi volunteered for various organizations in Alberta. Katsumi is survived by his sisters Lilly Oishi and Amy (Mike) Sakurai, brothers Mickey and Albert (Joan), sister-in-law Sheila, and brother-in law Seichi Shiraiwa, as well as numerous nieces and He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Toshiyaki and Bob; sisters Shinako Ueyama, Susie Shiraiwa, and Terry Masuda; sister-in-law Pat and brother-in-law Yoshiyuki Oishi. Katsumi's family would like to extend our thanks to the staff at St. Michael's Health Centre, Drs. Bezuidenhout and McPherson, and Lethbridge Family Services. A private family service will be held to remember Katsumi.
