JUDY CRAWFORD of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away quietly after a lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at St. Michael's Health Centre. Judy was born June 8, 1945 in Eckville, Alberta and spent most of her growing up years in Taber, Alberta. She had a passion for writing, as evidenced by her body of published novels, newspaper and magazine articles. She loved to teach, and had a special place in her heart for those with whom she shared her gifts. Judy was predeceased by her father Ezekiel Crawford, and her great-granddaughter Olivia Pierson. She is survived by her six children: Kevin (Lisa) Rodgers, Robert (Celine) Rodgers, James (Kima) Rodgers, Timothy (Carey) Rodgers, Andrew (Angela) Rodgers and Dene (Heath) Eva; nineteen grandchildren, and five siblings: George Crawford, her twin sister Joan Head, Calvin Crawford, Donald Crawford and Ardith Viste. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the LETHBRIDGE WEST STAKE CENTRE of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 560 Highland Blvd. West, with Bishop Darel Steed officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge. Flowers are graciously declined.
