JOY HENINGER, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Magrath on December 26, 2008. Joy is the loving mother of Val Isaacson (deceased), Nicole Mellis of Cardston, Bob (deceased) Teckla Heninger of Cardston, Art (Donna) Heninger of Cardston, Grant (Liddy) Heninger of Edson, Lawrence (Barbara) Heninger of Salt Lake City, Darrell (Leona) Heninger of Creston, B.C. and Joanne Dever of Magrath. Joy has 53 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. Joy was born on September 19, 1919 in Raymond, Alberta and married Bill Heninger in 1950. They raised a family on a farm in the Foremost/Warner area until moving to Magrath in 1972. An extremely competent and hard worker she was an excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. She loved painting ceramics and listening to classical music. She was an exceptional scriptorian and spent many years as Relief Society president and Gospel Doctrine teacher for the LDS Church. She was quick to help her neighbors and loved all that was beautiful in the world of nature. She loved her grandkids and those around her. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Garden Place Chapel, Magrath, Alberta with Bishop Richard Blumell officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00-10:45a.m. Interment in the Magrath Cemetery.
