JOSEPH EDWARD SPACKMAN passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, beloved husband of Minna Hervey Spackman. Joe was the 8th child of William Henry and Annabelle Spackman and was born September 4, 1931 in Stirling, Alberta. He was very active in sports as a young man. After graduation he went to Bozeman, Montana, U of Utah. He met and married Minna Hervey November 21, 1958 in Raymond. Joe was the Mayor of Stirling Centennial Year 1967, and was instrumental in the installation of sewer and water systems. He worked maintenance at Centre Village Mall for many years until he retired. Survivors include: Wendy (Rob) Wilson; Jody Tyssen; Dennis Spackman; and Patti (Jamie) Trafton; grandchildren: Kylie, Tyler and Cody Wilson; Tiffanie (Cayle) Roszell, Bradley Tyssen (Britany Carlson), Mark Tyssen, Robyn Tyssen (Tanner Taniguichi); and William Trafton; great grandchildren: Sierra, Tyson, Lesley, Cheyenne Roszell, and Riley Tyssen. Sisters, Jean Ward, and Annabelle Spackman; three brothers: George (Vivian), Blaine (Jean), and Sharon (Priscilla). Other relatives include: Donna Spackman, Kenn Barber, Linda (Clarence) Douglas, Luanna Christensen, Sheila (Doug) Fletcher, and David Hervey. He is predeceased by his parents, sisters: Helen and Jim Baldwin, Joanne Barber and Patricia Spackman; brothers: Walter, Floyd, and Lester and Estella; in-laws: Jim and Eva Hervey, and niece Darla Fletcher. Friends may meet the family on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, or prior to the funeral service on Monday from 12:00 to 12:40 p.m. at the church. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Northside Chapel, 2223-6 A. Avenue North, Lethbridge, with Bishop Richard Martinell officiating. Interment to follow in the Stirling Cemetery at 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Lethbridge, 426-5 Street South, Box 25007, Lethbridge Centre, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4P6.
