
JOLAYNE EVANGELINE HILL, beloved wife of the late Arledge William Hill of Raymond, passed away at the Raymond Health Center on September 9th , 2007, at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her daughter Rischa (Dwayne) of Canmore, two sons Douglas P. Hill of Raymond and Jeffrey R. Hill (Joett) of Idaho Falls, ID and brother Bernard Price of Taber. She was preceded in death by her husband Arledge, son Michael Arledge Hill and brother Darwin Price. She has 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was born December 15, 1920 in Taber to Edwin Hall Price and Hazel Agnes Hammer Price. When she was 8 years old the family moved to Raymond so that her father could work for the Canadian Sugar Factories. In 1936 the family moved again to Picture Butte when Grandpa Price was transferred with the Sugar Factory. In 1941 Jolayne served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North Central States mission, spending most of her time in the Regina, Saskatchewan area. After her mission, Jolayne worked in Calgary for 3 years as a dental assistant. While there she met and dated her husband to be, Arledge. They dated for 5 months and their marriage was solemnized on November 15th, 1945 in the Cardston Temple. They settled in Raymond where Arledge also worked for the Canadian Sugar Factories and where they raised their family. Jolayne loved people and she served them in her home, her church and her community. She loved the "gang" and the wonderful friendships and memories they created together. She loved to travel. She loved to cook. She loved decorating for weddings. She loved Lake Blaine. She loved playing golf, Backgammon and Scrabble with friends and family. She loved to win! She loved her grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved being the "Queen of the Cul de Sac." She brought a graciousness and dignity to life and even a little spunk. She made life a bit happier and better for many because of her contributions. That's why she was loved Friends may meet with the family Thursday evening, September 13th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Raymond Stake Center and prior to the service on Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Funeral Services will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Raymond Stake Center on Friday, September 14th at 11:00 am with Bishop Ron Fromm officiating Interment to follow in the Raymond Temple Hill Cemetery.
