John Rosenfelt

ROSENFELT JOHN MATTHEW ROSENFELT passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 88 years. John was born February 24, 1927 and raised in the Meyronne District of Saskatchewan along with his 15 siblings. In 1947, John moved to Moose Jaw where he met Florence Harvey. They were married April 23, 1949. John and Florence moved to Lethbridge, Alberta in October of 1949. John was employed at sheet metal establishments and eventually took up business for himself in 1964. John is survived by his wife Florence, sons; Bryan (Dana) and Barry, daughters; Linda Giovinazzo (Brian), Wendy Conine (Boyd) as well as 6 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Adam Rosenfelt, most of his siblings and a daughter-in-law Elaine. John enjoyed sports of all kinds and loved to bowl, golf and play crib. The family would like to thank the staff at Fort Macleod Extendicare for their care and kindness to dad during the 8 years he was a resident there. They would also like to thank the staff and doctors on floor 4C at the Chinook Regional Hospital for their compassion and care. To respect John's wishes, a private family service will be held. In memory of John, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice or an act of kindness can be done for someone.
