JESSIE MAXINE FIEDLER, born in Trenton, Ontario on May 1, 1933 and passed away in Lethbridge on May 29, 2012. She is survived by her husband Anthony (Tony) Albert Raymond Fiedler, daughters; Laurie (John) Janzen and Nadine (Tim) Helmer, two grandchildren; Erin and Kyle Helmer and one brother Allen. She was predeceased by her parents; Jessie and James Seabrooke, her sisters; Edna, Ethel, Eileen and Ruth and by her brother James. Maxine went by her middle name most of her life as she thought Jessie was an old lady's name. Tony was in the Royal Canadian Air Force so she travelled to France to live for a year and a half and then travelled through most of Canada. Moving on average of once every two years for the first 15 years of her marriage. When Tony mustered out they moved to Coaldale then to Lethbridge where they bought a home and put down roots where she spent the rest of her life. She worked for Kresge's and then Sears Canada until she retired in the 80's. A few years later she became a partner in Grandma Lee's with her sister-in-law Rose Janzen until the business was sold, when she retired again - this time for good. A few years later she began having noticeable memory problems that were later diagnosed as Alzheimer's. In 2010 it became evident she needed more care than Tony could give her and she went into a home. In 2012 she moved to Edith Cavell Care Centre where she spent the last months of her life and got excellent care and was safe until the end. We wish to thank all the staff at Edith Cavell for everything. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. At Maxine's request, no Funeral Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer Society of Lethbridge, 402-740-4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0N9.
