Jeffrey Payne

JEFFREY ALAN PAYNE, beloved husband of Angela Payne, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the age of 48 years. He is also the loving father of Jessica Alyse, and Travis Jeffrey Payne. Jeff will be remembered for his warm sense of humor, his love of family and friends, and his love and acceptance for people around him. He taught school for the past 15 years in Southern Alberta, including both the Kainai and Piikani Nations. He later moved into Lethbridge where he taught social studies and shop at LCI High School. At the time of his passing he was teaching at the Community Outreach School in Lethbridge. Jeff loved basketball and coached at the high school level and most recently with the Lethbridge College Kodiaks. He loved the outdoors and spending time with the people he loved most. Jeff is survived by his parents Kent and Helen Payne, by his brothers Brian (Robin) Payne, Steven (Linda) Payne, and his sisters Shawna (Alan) Peterson and Sheryl Payne. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge Alberta West Stake, 560 Highlands Blvd. West, Lethbridge, with Bishop Darren Bennett officiating. Friends may meet the family from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
