
JAMES ADAM FERGUSON of Cardston, Alberta passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at his home in Cardston, at the age of 85 years. He is the beloved husband of the late LaVerle Ferguson. Jim was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on January 29, 1926. Dad grew up in Magrath and talked with fond memories of this little hometown. Dad has always been a compassionate and giving person. Many people have been touched by these characteristics that he was blessed with. Dad supported his family very will by owning his own business as a hairdresser for many years and then Ferguson Florists. He had a very gifted hand for making floral arrangements. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was called to the Toronto, Canada Mission in 1950. Dad had very fond memories of his mission and talked about experiences that he had with pride. Dad will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is predeceased by his eternal companion LaVerle (Walburger) Ferguson; his son Mark; a sister Helen Schaffer, a brother Bill Ferguson; his mother Vetta Trainer and his father James Ferguson and many relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn, their children: Rick Ferguson of Coaldale, Chris (Carl) Ingram of Coaldale, Jim (Joanne) Ferguson of Cardston, and Alan Ferguson of Cardston. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TEMPLE STREET CHAPEL, 355-3 Street West, Cardston. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the Magrath Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
