Helen Hruska

HELEN HRUSKA, beloved wife of the late Joseph Hruska of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the age of 75 years. She is the loving mother of: Sherry (Brian) Leishman of Spruce Grove, AB, JoAnne (Larry) Thaxter of Lethbridge, Don Hruska of Red Deer, Laurie (Mitch) Van Dyk of Nobleford, and Patrick Hruska of Lethbridge. Helen is also survived by five grandchildren: Eric, Jolain, Kyle, Matthew and Dallas, and one great grandson, Xander. Helen was born in Coaldale and lived in the Readymade area for most of her life. She married Joe and they farmed there for many years, while raising five children. Helen worked along with Joe on the farm. She also loved to tend to her garden and flower beds. Helen loved to read and was a great collector of books. Her last few years were spent living in Lethbridge where she made many new friends. One of the greatest joys she got to experience was the birth of her first great grandchild, Xander, who visited her often. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Pastor Richard Brown officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4K7. I'm now at peace, life's battles done, I've faced the foe and I have won.
