Harley Lorence Kesler

HARLEY LORENCE KESLER March 15, 1928 - April 24, 2014 Dad was born in Lethbridge, AB, Canada to Harley Kesler and Catherine Lucy Edith Wyatt and was the middle of three children. His early educational experiences were in Diamond City. After he left the farm, he worked in Lethbridge: first as a grease monkey, then as an auto body mechanic and eventually working his way up to shop foreman. In Lethbridge he met and married our mother Audrey Jean Bissett. They were married October 17, 1949 - 65 years. Together they had 4 children. He furthered his education at the Lethbridge College and at the University of Alberta, eventually becoming Department Head of the vocational section at LCI. In addition to his various careers, he had many hobbies and passions. He loved music, camping, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, his family and his church. He is predeceased by his parents and 1 grandson. He is survived by his wife Audrey Kesler; children Carol Davis (Ron) of Garland Utah; Les Kesler (Esther) of Lethbridge; Glen Kesler (Karen) of Surrey, BC; Loralee Kesler of Whitehorse, Yukon. Also by 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and a brother Barton Kesler (Shirley) and a sister Marian Thompson. The family wishes to express much appreciation to all his caregivers over the past 14 months at Good Samaritan Society of Raymond and Park Meadows Village. Friends may attend a meet the family on Monday, April 28th, 2014 at 7-8pm at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 Street N, Lethbridge, and also prior to the service on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 from 12:00 - 12:45pm at the church. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, NORTHSIDE CHAPEL, 2223 - 6A Ave N, Lethbridge. Interment to follow in the Royal View Memorial Cemetery, Lethbridge.
