Gwendoline Lundquist

GWENDOLINE LUNDQUIST 1924 - 2016 GWENDOLINE “GRANNY” LUNDQUIST of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2016 after a full life of 92 years. Gwen was born to Louis and Queenie Golds in Craigmyle, Alberta on September 2, 1924. Gwen was predeceased by her parents, her husband Carl and her sister Dorothy Bannister. Gwen will be deeply cherished by her son Craig (Linda) Lundquist, three grandchildren Gina Wittebolle, Tara (Darcy) Pansky, Keith (Angela) Lundquist and five great-grandchildren, Karli, Emma, Conner, Payton and Hannah. She is survived by her sister Betty Griffin, her in-laws, nieces, nephews and their families whom she has loved over the years. Gwen was a loving and giving woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved playing games, baking and gardening. You found her in the stands, at the rinks and on the side lines; she was always cheering us on and she was everyone’s Granny. Gwen will be laid to rest with her husband, Carl, at a private family interment to be held in Calgary, Alberta at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. on October 25, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at McKILLOP UNITED CHURCH ,2329 – 15th Ave. S., Lethbridge, Alberta. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Gwen, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
