PRATT
GREGORY JAMES PRATT, beloved husband of Kathy (O’Brien) Pratt passed away in Lethbridge on October 7, 2016 at the age of 69 years. Greg is the loving father of Chris (Kimberly), Ryan (Shannon), Jeff (Jessica) and Tim (Lindsay), and grandfather of 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Leona, with whom he is now joyfully reunited.
Greg touched many lives through his career. He spent 31 years in the field of public and family health services where he found an ideal place to make an impact on individuals and families. He was a firm believer in people, and was tenacious in his pursuit to translate the latest research on child and family health into programs and tools for families. The impact of his work will be felt for generations to come in communities across Alberta.
Greg’s service in his career was a reflection of his faith in God and love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His compassion for people was manifest in his church service where he advised and mentored youth, counselled and cared for the weak and weary, and inspired many with talks and lessons that engaged listeners and challenged us to be a little better. Greg continued his commitment to the Gospel and church service well after he was diagnosed with Cancer 5 years ago.
Thanks to the doctors, nurses and palliative home care team in Lethbridge and at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. Your care and compassion provided a great support to us through Greg’s illness.
Memorial donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331-29 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4J8.
