Grace Peterson

GRACE BINGHAM PETERSON passed away in Raymond on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Grace is survived by two sisters: Ruth (Bill) Nalder, Elaine (Burns) Sabey, and a brother, Melvin Bingham. Grace was born June 5, 1920 in Magrath, AB to Francis Bingham and Leona Henderson Bingham. She was the 6th of 9 children in a happy loving family. She graduated from high school and worked in the office at the Magrath Trading Co. Grace married John Laird Peterson in the Alberta Temple. After his untimely death in 1947 she began her schooling to become a teacher, eventually earning her Masters degree in Education. She met and married Claude Peterson and moved to Spokane. Several years later he died, leaving her to raise his son Jim (from a previous marriage). When Jim passed away, he left eight wonderful grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law to bless Grace's life. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond. Friends may meet the family from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery.
