George Leslie Komanac

GEORGE LESLIE KOMANAC July 11, 1966 - August 22, 2007 Les, known lovingly as Moose, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the age of 41 years. Besides his parents, George and Cecilia Komanac, Les leaves behind three children: Cassaundra, Troy and Lesley-Ann; grandmother Mary Boucha; two sisters and a brother, Lorelei (Russ) Kramer, Len (Susan) Komanac, Luana Komanac; niece Meghan Kramer; girlfriend Charmyn Thornton of Edmonton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends who will all miss him dearly. He was known for his jovial character and wondrous sense of humor, surpassed only by his love for his family (and Star Trek). Les was born and raised in Lethbridge where he received his journeyman auto mechanics certificate. A few years ago he moved to Calgary where he continued to work, doing what he loved, working on cars in a Corvette shop. A private family service will be held. Friends are invited to the family home on Monday afternoon and are asked to bring their smiles and their best Moose stories.
