Frank Smella Sr

MR. FRANK SMELLA SR., beloved husband of Mrs. Esther Smella of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the age of 78 years. He is the loving father of: George (Sharon) Smella of Calgary, Frank Jr. (Vera) Smella of Lethbridge, Maxine (Greg) Morton of Calgary, and Betty Ann Krizsan of Lethbridge. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Steve (Jen) Smella, Russell (Janice) Smella, Lindsay Smella, James Smella, Joseph Smella, Wesley Morton, Teresa Morton, and Charles Krizsan; and three great grandchildren: Bridget, Courtney and Aiden. Frank is survived by his sisters: Hilda (Matt) Gaasenbeek, Betty (Bill) Hemmings, and Anne (Tom) McNairn, all of Ontario; one Uncle Joe, and numerous cousins. Frank is predeceased by his father and mother, Steve and Mary; an infant brother, Joe; a brother, Steve; and a grandson, Robert. Frank worked for the Lethbridge Brewery for 30 years and retired in 1989. He loved gardening, fishing, helping neighbors and friends, but most of all he loved his family. Frank will always be remembered as a great Role Model by his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A viewing will be held on Friday evening, December 7 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Generations Funeral Home, and prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Rev. Jim Chapman officiating. Interment in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
