
FRANK L OLSON, beloved husband of Isabelle Olson, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the age of 95 years. Besides his wife, Isabelle Olson, Frank is survived by his children: Marlene (Blaine) Cox of Lethbridge, Vayle (Irene) Olson of Calgary, Dora Olson (Lou Ganske) of Lethbridge. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Olaf and Charlotte Olson, and nine brothers and sisters, and his son, Kent Olson. He was born December 12, 1911 in Hillspring, Alberta in his parent's home. Frank was the 6th of 10 children born to Olaf and Charlotte Olson. He grew up on a ranch along the Belly River. Frank married Isabelle Marsden and they lived at the ranch. Frank worked with a horse team helping build the Chief Mountain highway. They moved to Peace River where they lived for 3 years. They moved back to Picture Butte for 9 years. Frank began employment with the LNID where he worked for 27 years. The family lived at Park Lake for 25 years. Frank was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. He was a dedicated husband and father, crazy over his grandchildren. He held a number of church positions including Scout Master. His unconditional love of people and his zest for life made him a friend of everyone who knew him. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Mountain Heights Chapel, 175 Rocky Mountain Blvd. W., Lethbridge, with Bishop Doran Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment at the Hillspring Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Humanitarian Fund, c/o 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB T1H 2T2, or LDS Church members may donate through your own Ward.
