Francis Edward Griffin

FRANCIS (FRANK) EDWARD GRIFFIN, 96, of Champion passed away peacefully on April 3, 2013 at the Vulcan Hospital. Frank was born at Carmangay on Jan. 1, 1917. He was the oldest son of Bessie and Ed Griffin. He married Edith May Mullinger July 20, 1949. Edith and Frank were active in the communities of Champion, Carmangay, and Vulcan, and were loved by many. Frank spent most of his life farming on the land he loved, and where he and Edith raised their children Joy and Dennis. He is survived by his sister, Yvonne Griffin of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Joy Griffin of Albuquerque, NM; son, Dennis and Dawn Griffin of Champion; grandchildren: Shaye Griffin, Jady Griffin, Jason and Samantha Griffin; great-grandson Blake Griffin; and many special nieces, nephews, and their families. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Edith Griffin, his parents, brother Walter and Shirley Griffin, sisters Ethel Griffin, and Vivian Griffin. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, CHAMPION, Alberta on Monday April 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Friends can meet with family prior to the service at the church from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Interment in the Champion Cemetery, Champion, Alberta.
