Florence Rollingson

FLORENCE PATRICIA ROLLINGSON of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at her home in Legacy Lodge on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the age of 89 years. She is the loving mother of Bill Jr. (Kathy) of Lethbridge, and the grandmother of Bill III of Lethbridge and Pat (Dave) Olson of Stettler, AB. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bill, her parents Matt and Mary Sweda and her brother Larry Sweda. Florence spent most of her life in Lethbridge. She married Bill in 1939, and together they opened the Lethbridge Harley-Davidson and Western U-Drive business. She worked for the F. W. Woolworth Co. for many years as well. Eventually the family business became Bill's Esso Service and Hertz Rent-A-Car. They retired the business in 1965, and Florence returned to Woolworth's for a few more years. An avid bowler in both five and ten pins, Florence won many awards. She was a quality knitter and loved fishing, hunting, camping and jeeping with family and friends. She was also one of the founding members of the Lethbridge Coulee Kruzers Jeep Club. Florence's active senior life was cut short by Alzheimers. She will always be remembered for her loving ways and kindness. At Florence's request, there will be no funeral.
