Evelyn Weeks

EVELYN MINNIE WEEKS of Lethbridge, best friend of the late Wallace Pickett, passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the age of sixty-six years. Beloved step-mother of Wallace Pickett Jr., Agnes (Jim) Duce, both of Medicine Hat, Jesse Pickett, James (Edna) Pickett, Warren (Laura) Pickett, all of Lethbridge; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Evelyn is also survived by her brother - Barry (Carol) Weeks of Airdrie, nieces and nephews - Erin, Kristy and Stephen; her sister - Beverly (Don) Schatzke of Calgary, nephew & niece - Ken and Kimberley; and her step-mother - Leona Weeks of Wetaskawin and family. Besides her best friend - Wallace, she was predeceased by her mother - Viola Weeks; father - Howard Weeks; her step-son - William Pickett and a granddaughter - Sarah Pickett. Evelyn loved needlepoint, camping, hockey games, keeping house and spending time with her grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Christensen Salmon Generation Funeral Home, 703 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Interment to be held in Medicine Hat at a later date.
