
EVA PERRETT PETERSON GIESBRECHT, beloved wife of Peter Giesbrecht of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the age of 83 years. She is the loving mother of: Doug (Linda) Peterson of Brooks, Jack (Marcie) Peterson of Lethbridge, and Ron (Sherry) Peterson of Grande Prairie. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Eva was predeceased by: J. Howard Peterson (February 4, 1993), a granddaughter Sandy Ann Peterson (May 3, 1980), her parents, and all her brothers and sisters. Eva was born on September 11, 1924 to Henry A. Perrett and Sarah Romeril Perrett. She was the youngest of six children, three brothers and two sisters. She served a mission in the Canada Toronto mission (Hamilton and Kitchener) in 1950/1951. Mission President was President Monson. Eva attended normal school to obtain her teacher's certificate and spent many years teaching in Stirling, New Dayton, and Taber. She retired from teaching in 1986. She married J. Howard Peterson July 25, 1952. She loved to write poetry, play piano, work in the garden. Eva always loved her cats and dogs. She had a great love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to sing. Eva married Peter Giesbrecht on September 13, 2003. Eva will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church on Friday from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge East Stake Centre, 4105 Forestry Avenue South, with Bishop Richard Hill officiating. Interment in the Stirling Cemetery.
