Eva Flitton

EVA (DITCHFIELD) FLITTON Beloved wife of the late Mark Flitton of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the age of 89 years old. Eva loved her children; Dennis Flitton of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dale (Carol) Flitton, Karen Anderson both of Lethbridge, Lorna (Jay) Kee of Calgary, and Darren (Gail) Flitton of Lethbridge. Eva had nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Eva had numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved. Eva was born in England and came to Canada with her family as a small child. She met and fell in love with Mark in 1944 during the war and married on January 15, 1948. Eva was a talented cook and seamstress but her favourite job was wife, mother, and sister. Eva was devoted to her family and loved nothing more than cooking for them and visiting over a hot cup of coffee whether it was at home or when camping and fishing. Eva's devotion to her family, sense of humour, patience with all, and kindness will be greatly missed. Friends may meet the family at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13th Street North, Lethbridge on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or prior to the service on Monday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME with Bishop Brian Roelofs officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4K7.
