Elwood Romeril

ELWOOD OWEN ROMERIL, beloved husband of Zelma Wright Romeril, passed away in Raymond on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the age of 87 years. Elwood was born on September 7, 1923 in Lethbridge, AB to Alfred and Christina Romeril. Throughout his life, his greatest achievements were within the framework of his family. He enjoyed farming, hunting fishing, watching sporting events, reading, and trips with his family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed many callings and assignments in the church. Besides his beloved wife Zelma, Elwood was survived by his children Lione (Richard) Jensen, Gloria (Bruce) Larson, Fred (Susan) Romeril, Tony Romeril, Sherry (Darren) Heidinger, Deborah (Wayne) Pallett, and Melanie (Richard) Killman; 36 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Friends may meet the family prior to the service on Tuesday at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, STIRLING CHAPEL, Stirling, AB, from 1:00 to 1:40 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the church at 2:00 pm at with Bishop Ben Nilsson officiating. Interment to follow at the Stirling Cemetery.
