
ELIZABETH (BERTHA) WOOLF of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late William Woolf, passed away at the age of 88 years, Monday, August 8 at her residence. Bertha was born in Lethbridge May 9, 1923 to Robert and Elizabet h Allison. She spent her time with her husband William, of 66 years, and her family of five brothers and a sister. She attended public school at Westminster and received her high school education at the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. Bertha began her career at T. Eaton Co. at the age of 18 and in 1945 she married her sweetheart Bill. They settled in Lethbridge, and for a short while on their farm near Diamond City. Bertha continued work at Eaton's until she retired after 40 years of valued service, in many different capacities. Bertha enjoyed bowling and golf with husband Bill and their friends in her younger years. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Bill, mother and father Robert and Elizabeth Allison, brothers Andrew, Robert, James, Alex and Stewart and sister Margaret (Standish), and sisters-in-law Mona (Andrew), Lillian (Alec) and Thelma (James.) She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Myrtle (Stewart) and Peef (Robert), many friends and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 13 at 11 a.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge with interment to follow in Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m. If friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2211,Lethbridge, AB T1J 4K7.
