GUNDERSON, ELIZABETH EVELYN Born May 9, 1928 in Big Prairie, AB Died September 28, 2014 in Raymond, AB EVELYN GUNDERSON of Stirling, AB formerly of Calgary, AB and Water Valley, AB, passed away at the age of 86. Ev was predeceased by her husband Maurice Gunderson, her son Martin Gunderson, her parents Charles and Mary Evans and siblings: Charles Evans, Ethel Hoffman and Geraldine Hill. Her surviving siblings are Vivian Van Maarion and David Evans. She is also survived by her children: Joy Pillipow (Peter Pillipow), Rita Gunderson (Mike Pettifer), Penny Gunderson, Tim Gunderson (Janet Gunderson), 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Ev had a varied work life as a sawmill cook, practical nurse, Handibus Assistant, Auctioneer Assistant and Home Child Caregiver. She was a skilled homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Ev had a dry sense of humor and loved playing games and making puzzles. She was a talented knitter and leather crafter. Her joy was in her family and home life. Interment at Water Valley Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014. Gathering to follow at Water Valley School.
