Edith Shuhany

September 29, 1933 - September 20, 2011 It is with great sadness that our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend Edith Shuhany passed away at Edith Cavell Care Centre on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the age of 77. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Brown and son Fred Cahoon (Calgary), one granddaughter Sharon (Chris) Brown of Abbotsford; also five great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Carrie Sillito and brother Jack Sandercock, and close friend Karen Thom. Edith was predeceased by her loving husband Nick Shuhany; parents Fred and Beth Sandercock, one son Vernon and grandson Patrick. Edith will always be remembered for being a very active and fun-loving person who volunteered many hours at the Soup Kitchen, Seniors Centre, and nursing Homes. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Edith will be missed, but never forgotten. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Northside Chapel, 2223-6 A. Avenue North, Lethbridge. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Interment to follow in the Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge.
