Doreen Grice

Doreen Grice passed away Friday July 3, 2009 after a brief but determined fight against cancer. She had built a new life in Lethbridge and contributed to area organizations such as the Coaldale Food Bank, the Victim Service Unit and the Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre lunch program. She enjoyed her garden, her neighbourhood and a good game of darts at the Seniors' Centre. Doreen was particularly proud of her victory in holding off the Scenic Drive extension which would have destroyed her beloved coulee. She leaves behind her 3 children and their families, and her sisters and their families. They will all miss their mum, Nana and Auntie Joe very much. The family would like to thank the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital Cancer Centre and on floor 3C for their kindness to Doreen. Memorial Donations in Doreen's name may be made directly to the Lethbridge Regional Cancer Centre, c/o Chinook Regional Hospital, (960-19 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 1W5) in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
