David Coe

DAVID LEON COE, beloved husband of Sylvia of Lethbridge, passed away at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the age of 69 years. He is the loving father of Diane (Darrell) of Aldersyde, Alberta, Sandra (Donnie) of Calgary, Michael (Carmen) of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Meghan Coe, and Ryan Coe. He is the grandfather of seven grandchildren. David is also survived by a sister Colleen (Doug) Cornes of Mission, BC, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. David is predeceased by his father Leon, mother Blanche, brother Russell, and sister Leanna. He was born in Lethbridge on April 30, 1942. David was raised on the family farm in Vulcan, and joined the army in 1960. He spent his life in Calgary and Lethbridge. Family was very important to Dave as well as his pets, sports (baseball/curling), and fishing and hunting. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LETHBRIDGE STAKE CENTRE, 2410-28 Street South, Lethbridge. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4K7, or to the charity of one's choice.
