CURT GARNER passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in Lethbridge at the age of 80. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Cindy (Richard) Coolidge and their family, his daughter Pam (Deb), his son Greg (Cheryl) and their family. Loving companion of 10 years, Beth Zilke and family. Mother of his children, Maureen Garner. Curt's sister-in-law Kay Garner (Wayne) and her children Colleen Holler and family, Deborah Rycroft (Eddie) and family, Sharon Gagnon (George) and family. Curt was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Ruby Garner and his two brothers Wayne and Elmer. He was born and raised in the Hillspring and Cardston area and worked at Canadian Western Natural Gas Co. (Atco Gas) for 26 years before retiring in 1993. Curt was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for forty-six years, serving numerous years as secretary/treasurer of the Cardston Branch and a proud member of the Cardston Lions Club. A special thanks to Dr. E.R. Wilde and all the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital, for their professional and compassionate care. For those who wish, donations will be gratefully accepted to the Alberta Lung Association, 4700 Station South, Edmonton, AB T5M 2P6; Canadian Diabetes Association, #204-2323-32 Ave. NE, Calgary, AB T2E 6Z3 or the charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday May 15, 2012, at 11:00 am at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. A luncheon will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion (Mayor Magrath Dr. S.) from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm for all friends and family.
