CONSTANCE MARY VENABLES, beloved wife of Robert of Lethbridge, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the age of 85 years.

She is survived by: Rodney Venables of Claresholm, Dianne (Shane) Porter of Lethbridge, Daniel Venables of Lethbridge, and Jeffrey (Karen) Venables of Calgary. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Connie is also survived by a sister Grace Slemko of Calgary, three brothers: Norman Field and Emery (Fern) Field, both of Lethbridge, and Gordon (Gladys) Field of Cranbrook, BC.

She is predeceased by her parents Millard and Mary Field, and a sister Betty Field.

Connie was born in Lethbridge, at the Galt Hospital on April 15, 1932. Her early schooling, Grades 1-7 was at Dow School and Jensen School in Pendant d’Oreille area. Her later schooling was at Galbraith School and LCI in Lethbridge. In 1950 she was married to Bob Venables.

Connie worked several years at Eatons, Woolco and some 38 years at Thriftway Pharmacy, full-time and part-time. She operated the sub-postal office there, the camera department and as a clerk. She was a past president of the Philatelic Society in 1983. She was an ardent stamp collector. Connie also loved cameras as her many photo albums show, as well as her collection of cameras.

A come and go reception will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, Fireside Room, 1614-5 Avenue South, Lethbridge (wheelchair access available).
