Carol Murray

CAROL ANN MURRAY passed away peacefully on May 6, 2011 at the age of 55 years. She is survived by her sister Shirley (Lee) Baker, a brother-in-law Bryan (Dana) Rosenfelt and seven nieces and nephews and their families. Carol did not let Down Syndrome stop her from leading a full life and making many friends. She was very active in the community until she developed Alzheimer's disease. She enjoyed sports, especially hockey, and loved country music. She also enjoyed making various art projects, which she liked to give as gifts. She greatly enjoyed the time she spent in the day program at DaCapo. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Hilda Murray and her sister Elaine Rosenfelt. The family owes an enormous debt of gratitude to DaCapo and Quest staff members who have shown Carol so much loving care for many years and would also wish to thank the Edith Cavell Centre staff that cared for her the last few weeks of her life. We also thank the residential caregivers and respite workers who were such an important part of Carol's life. We also thank Dr. Ikuta and Dr. Dong for their compassionate care. We appreciate you all so much. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at C.S. GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Carol's name to either Lethbridge Family Services, 1107 - 2A Ave. N., T1H 0E6, or to Quest Support Services, 1245 - 2 Ave. S., Lethbridge T1J 0E5.
