Calvin Grant Winters

WINTERS CALVIN GRANT WINTERS, age 83, passed peacefully into God's loving arms on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Cal was predeceased by his "darling" wife Juanita in 2013 and they are again together for eternity. Cal is survived by four adult children: daughter Lori (Patrick), son Greg (Robyn), daughter Mellany (Dennis) and daughter Jennifer; and two grandchildren Courtney and Quinten, who all reside in the US. Born in Raymond on January 19, 1931, he was the 4th child and the 3rd son of Cecil John Clyde Winters and Louise Huddle (descendants of Mormon Settlers). Cal had an adventurous spirit! He loved Juanita, his children, cars and cats plus the thousands of people he met and who came into his life. Cal spent the majority of his life selling cars for GM and valued the many friendships he developed over his 30 plus year career in addition to the coffee business he owned and managed with his wife Juanita. He was happiest when he and Juanita moved into their condo in 2006 feeling so blessed that their new home was among so many wonderful and generous people. Cal has impacted many people over the years and will remain forever in our hearts and memories. No funeral or memorial service per his request. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Michael's Health Centre, 1400-9 Ave. South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5 in memory of Cal and Juanita Winters would be appreciated.
