BURT WILLIAM ZOBELL, Jr. December 3, 1936 - October 9, 2012 Sadly we announce that Burt has left us and headed down that country road towards home. Burt was born December 3, 1936, in Raymond, oldest child of Bill and Melva (Gourley) Zobell. He was a true blue southern Albertan residing at various times in Raymond, Magrath, Vauxhall and Coaldale. He loved his family and loved to work. He enjoyed camping, golfing, holding the remote, watching grandkids' events, being with family and driving his truck. He was a member of the LDS church and served many years in the Vauxhall and Coaldale wards. He will be mourned by his wife, Norma Ruth (Cook); his children: Monte (Laurie) Zobell, Kelly (Orran) McMullen, Dani (Murray) Brown and Jody (James) Evanson; grandchildren: Jesse Hleucka, Justin Hleucka, Kallen McMullen, Rory Brown, Rikki Lee (Beau) Gavin, Michael Brown, Jaden (Jessica) Evanson, Regan, Rylin, Davin and Maren Evanson; and great grandson, Kayden Hleucka. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Sheridan and Lynda (Donald) Bakken, sister-in-law Brenda Zobell, and Norma's family: Patricia Cook, John (Myrna) Cook, Floyd (Helen) Cook, Donna (Art) Heninger, and Keith (Ann) Cook, as well as three aunts: Doris Zobell, Joanna Zobell, and Mildred Dalgleish; two uncles, Ted Gourley and Bob Blount, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Burt was predeceased by his parents, brothers Bruce and Ed, and brother-in-law Martin Cook, three nephews and two nieces. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, COALDALE CHAPEL, 2216-21A. Avenue, Coaldale. Friends are invited to meet the family from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. Interment in the Magrath Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. The family extends their appreciation to the many physicians and medical staff who cared for Dad these past few months. If desired Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre, 1400-9 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5. Drive Safe Dad.
